JOB SUMMARY:
For Our Future and For Our Future Action Fund are seeking an Operations Coordinator with experience facilitating day-to-day operations. The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for inventory management, logistical support, and helping staff navigate operational issues.
Successful candidates will bring all or most of the following skills and attributes to this position: a commitment to teamwork; have an exceptional ability to stay organized, manage their time effectively, and juggle several priorities that may change quickly; and finally possess a keen attention to detail.
Work will, at times, be scheduled in the evenings and/or weekends. This position requires creativity and flexibility due to the fast-paced nature and mission of our organization.
This position is based in Madison or Milwaukee Wisconsin. The Operations Coordinator will report to the Operations Director.
This is a full-time position through April 6, 2021.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
● Provide excellent customer service to employees and serve as the first point of contact for operations inquiries & concerns.
● Order, store, and organize all office supplies & equipment, including ensuring equipment is returned at the end of the election.
● Update internal operation procedures documents as needed.
● Coordinate with Operations Director to schedule team meetings and to provide follow-ups.
● Support the Operations Director in managing and resolving operational issues.
● Manage incoming and outgoing letters and packages.
● Perform general office administrative and clerical duties.
● Maintain logs and spreadsheets for all office activities.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
● Extraordinary attention to detail.
● Strong verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
● Familiarity with databases preferred.
● Experience managing staff and/or interns preferred.
● Experience working on projects in a fast-paced environment.
● Strong verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to exercise good judgment in high-pressure situations. Flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks as the responsibilities as the position evolves.
● Commitment to the mission; Dedication to grassroots, local organizing and empowering state/local organizations to lead; understanding of local community-based organizations and respect for their leaders and programs.
● Resourceful problem solver.
● Reliable access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
● Ability to travel within the state and work long hours.
● Familiarity with GSuite and Google Sheets preferred.
● Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office. Strong computer literacy preferred..

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
● Because of COVID-19, state and local government stay at home orders, phased reopening orders, and other factors limit For Our Future’s canvassing program. When these limits apply, your work environment will likely be your domicile (teleworking) or a socially-distanced office. Employees may be required to work and interact, in an office environment or otherwise, with coworkers, volunteers, voters, or community partners periodically.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
● Normal hours of business are from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday thru Friday, however employees will be required to work outside of normal business hours including weekends and nights.
● Employees may be required to abide by certain blackout dates during a campaign cycle, and generally not allowed to take more than 2-3 days off consecutively during blackout periods. Emergencies are not affected by this policy.
