Montana Democratic Party Hiring a Regional Organizing Director

The Montana Democratic Party is hiring a top-tier, goal oriented and creative Regional Organizing Director for its highly targeted national and state races. MDP will play a critical role in re-electing U.S. Senator Jon Tester and electing Democrats down ticket including The U.S. House and in State legislative districts across the state.

Ideal candidates are highly organized, detailed oriented and a self-starter with proven ability to achieve set goals and perform under pressure.

Duties include but are not limited to:

● Executing a statewide strategy within your region.

● Coaching and managing a team of organizers across different offices.

● Creating and fostering a team culture.

● Ensuring volunteer and voter contact goals are met within your region.

● Ensuring data is reported consistently and accurately.

● Working with other campaign departments in the management of events and other outreach activities.

Required Skills:

● 1 to 2 years of campaign skills at the organizing level.

● Experience training and coaching staff and volunteers on a daily basis.

● Ability to work under pressure and meet strict guidelines.

● Great organizational and communication skills with a strong commitment to follow-up.

● Strategic thinking and planning abilities.

● Ability to achieve and execute goals while working with state and local leaders.

● Ability to track and report activity in a firm and consistent structure.

● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

● Experience with Excel and Votebuilder.

Preferred Background & Experience

● Two cycles of organizing experience

● Proficiency with Votebuilder/VAN
