Colorado: DSCF Hiring Campaign Managers for State Senate Races

Overview:

The Colorado Democratic Senate Campaign Fund is an initiative of the Colorado Democratic Party with the primary objective of winning

as many Democratic seats as possible in the Colorado State Senate. Democrats currently serve in the minority by a 1 seat 17-18

margin. The Colorado State Senate will be a national target by Democrats and Republicans in the 2016 election cycle.

The DSCF is in search of qualified candidates to serve as Campaign Manager on targeted State Senate races in Colorado.

Responsibilities:

The Campaign Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the campaign, including:

- Overseeing campaign operations for the race

- Managing candidate call time

- Staffing events

- Commitment to knocking doors with candidate

- Representing the campaign in front of allied organizations

- Working with the DSCF to write and implement the strategic campaign plan

- Serving as the liaison between the DSCF and the campaign

- Managing and recruiting staff and volunteers

- Ensuring the campaign meets fundraising, door-knocking, and direct voter metrics

Qualifications:

- Successful candidate will have at minimum 1 full cycle of experience and knowledge of VAN, field, and call time management.

- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines

- Strong oral and verbal communication skills

- Previous political campaign and/or organizing experience

- Experience with grassroots organizing

- Detail-oriented

- A reliable vehicle and phone is required.

Salary:

- Commensurate with experience and very competitive with campaign salaries in Colorado.
