A competitive Massachusetts State Senate campaign is seeking a Field Director. Ideal candidate is a self-starter, personally organized, and has knowledge and experience with data-driven grassroots campaigns. Field Director will work the Campaign Manager and campaign consultants in developing, executing, and refining (when necessary) the campaign’s field plan.
Responsibilities:
- Implement a metrics driven campaign plan, which sets out aggressive voter contact goals
- Develop and oversee volunteer recruitment and field internship programs
- Recruit, hire, train, and individually manage Field Organizers
- Create daily and weekly reporting structures with Field Organizers and campaign leadership
- Establish and reinforce standardized best practices in all aspects of field for field staff, field interns, and volunteers
- Build and develop positive relationships between the campaign and stakeholders throughout the district.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) cycle of field experience
- Proficiency in Google Docs, Microsoft Office, and VAN
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in training, managing, and empowering volunteers
- A willingness to work long, irregular hours, even on evenings and weekends
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
