Midterm Field Opportunities in Colorado with CIRC Action Fund

CIRC Action Fund, a sister organization of the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC), is seeking a number of field managers and canvass leaders for the 2018 midterm elections. CIRC Action Fund is an organization dedicated to the vision of justice, equality, dignity and respect for all, regardless of immigration status. To achieve this vision, we are taking action in this year’s elections, and you should be a part of our efforts.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recruit canvassers and volunteers throughout the local community through civic engagement, stakeholder outreach and one-on-one meetings.

  • Train canvassers and volunteers on door-to-door voter contact, phone banking and pledge-to-vote efforts.

  • Assist in field operations planning, including but not limited to turf preparation, site visits, and staffing coverage for events.

  • Research and report on local events and news in relation to area political races.

  • Report data and findings in accordance with strict data integrity standards.

  • Document all instances of field operation concerns, including but not limited to canvass metrics, targets, on-the-field issues and data integrity breaches.

  • Serve as the liaison between the field operation site and the central office.

  • Participate in meetings, trainings and events as needed.

  • Other duties as needed.  


Qualifications:

  • Strong commitment to the mission and the vision of this organization, especially the objective of more power and voice for the underrepresented constituencies.

  • Familiarity with the Voter Activation Network (VAN) and its related apps.

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

  • A self-starter demonstrating leadership and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong recruitment skills, ideally with prior experiences and ties to the local community.

  • Have a hard-working attitude and a result-driven mindset.  

  • Reliable transportation and mobile phone required.

  • For out-of-state applicants, ability to relocate to Colorado immediately.


Locations:

Denver, Pueblo, Greeley


Pay and Benefits:

Monthly salary range at $2,700 to $3,300, commensurate with experience.
