Finance Director
Dianne4NYC seeks a Finance Director to develop and execute a winning fundraising strategy for our 2021 Mayoral campaign.
Join the most exciting candidate in the most important race of 2021: Dianne Morales for New York City Mayor. Dianne is an Afro-Latina running as a movement candidate, mounting an historic grassroots campaign to become the first woman, first Latina and only the second Person of Color to lead City Hall. She is running to dismantle root-causes of oppression by Race and Gender on a platform to defund the police, desegregate and fund our schools, ensure housing for all and to build a solidarity-economy for all New Yorkers. And the message is resonating with voters: during the last reporting period she had the most NYC donors, by far.
Responsibilities:
Create and execute a Finance plan and develop a strategy to ensure maximum matchable public funds.
-Expand and deepen our pool of supporters
- Lead the campaigns fundraising activities including developing a call time strategy, planning and executing events, cultivating donors, consulting with our digital and email teams and serving as the point person for the Finance Committee
-Cultivate and maintain rapport with donors beyond their transaction
-Build a culture of fundraising through all facets of the campaign
Expectations:
-Maintain immaculate records and adherence to all applicable laws and regulations
-Direct Candidate Call-Time, manage lists, pledges and relationships
-Work with communications director and field directors on email and peer-to-peer
- Plan and execute fundraisers
-Reach benchmarks and goals for all modes of fundraising
-Timely, accurate external and internal reporting
Qualifications:
-A proven commitment to movement politics, Racial and Gender Justice
-Demonstrable political fundraising ability, ideally centering small donors, at scale
-Project leadership: experience and or capacity to design and drive a full strategy
-Self-starting, able to drive a solo project while creating the structures and systems to build the finance team in 2021
-Creativity, and a desire to build radical structures that center women and communities of color.
-Understanding of New York City politics, governing law, and relationships preferred
Terms and Details:
-$3,500 a month plus incentives, commensurate with experience and performance
-Contract through December 2020, with possibility of continuity in 2021
-Reports to campaign manager
-Location: Remote possible, New York preferred
