Long Island Elected Official is recruiting applicants for the position of Community Liaison in a District Office.
Job Description: The Community Liaison will serve as a point person to community groups throughout the district. The Liaison will conduct outreach, attend community meetings, deliver reports from the member and report back to the District Office Director and/or Chief of Staff. The Community Liaison will also take on constituent case work, helping constituents navigate local, state and federal agencies. Finally, the Community Liaison will also be responsible for administrative work in the office.
Qualifications: College degree, 1-2 years of experience in a relevant field.
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional public speaker who builds relationships quickly and easily. The applicant should be highly focused and willing to work flexible hours. Access to a car is a plus.
Salary: This is a full time position. Salary range is dependent on experience, with excellent benefits.
