Fundraising: Campaign Jobs team members are responsible for effectively and efficiently collecting contributions and donations for the organization through contacting supporters and soliciting donations. Because this is an activist job, we rely on the generosity of our members for our budget and political power. Campaign Jobs team members raise awareness of campaigns, identify new supporters, and open up an opportunity for UNE Colorado to hear feedback from our statewide membership base.
Establishing a positive rapport: Campaign Jobs team members are the front lines of our fieldwork, and in some cases, one of the only face to face connections between UNE Colorado and our many members. As such, team members in this activist job are responsible for maintaining a professional, positive, and healthy rapport during each interaction. Campaign Jobs team members must be knowledgeable about our work, and provide honest answers for any questions that arise. Additionally, team members in the Activist Job are responsible for accurately recording the results of every interaction, and report daily numbers to their team leaders.
Maintaining a healthy work environment: Campaign Jobs team members are responsible for helping to maintain a healthy, inclusive, and positive work environment. UNE Colorado offices are meant to be an open and affirming workplace, and the campaign job team members are expected to maintain positive, inclusive, and open-minded attitudes.
Campaign Jobs team members must be able to work within a team, receive feedback, and adapt to rapidly changing political and programmatic landscapes.
Previous canvassing, sales, non profit job, or political activist job experience is a plus.
Newly hired canvassers will work closely with the Team Leaders and the Outreach Director to learn how to canvass and fine-tune their skills in outreach. Daily trainings are held to constantly build the skills of outreach workers.
