Business executive and non-profit leader Dan Kohl is running for Congress to help solve our most pressing problems and to pull our politics back from the extremes. Incumbent Congressman Glenn Grothman is one of the most partisan members of the House, and has continuously taken positions damaging to Wisconsin families. We can and must do better, but we need your help.

To date, the Kohl for Congress team has raised more money than any candidate in the history of Wisconsin’s 6th district. This DCCC Red to Blue district is ripe for a change in leadership and even Glenn Grothman stated “When you talk nationwide about the Republicans losing the House next time, this is one of the seats that’s going to be in play.”

Kohl for Congress is currently seeking qualified candidates interested in joining our finance team. We are expanding, and looking to add a Finance Coordinator. This position is excellent for entry-level or junior staff interested in a front row seat to the day-to-day life of a Congressional candidate and campaign.

Helping build out our fundraising operation, the Finance Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the success of the campaign’s calltime program. Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting donor research and debriefing to identify potential supporters

  • Creation of accurate, informative, and useful call sheets for the candidate.

  • Staffing candidate at meetings and events as appropriate.

  • Keeping accurate records to track performance and ensure the campaign is on plan.

  • Provide scheduling and administrative support to candidate as needed.

The Finance Coordinator will be part of a small, hard-working team seeking to hit ambitious goals and make history. Candidates should be prepared for a fast paced, dynamic environment. While helpful, prior campaign experience not required. Competitive candidates will:

  • Have strong interpersonal skills, and a track record of successfully operating in a collaborative environment.

  • Have strong writing skills.

  • Be a problem solver who will seek creative solutions to challenges.

  • Be someone willing to ask questions and seek opportunities to grow and learn.

  • Bring an attention to detail and follow-up to their work.

  • Have knowledge of the political process, and current political events.

  • Be comfortable with modern office and collaboration software and web databases.

Finance Team positions are salaried, and compensation is commensurate with experience.
