The campaign manager will oversee all aspects of the campaign
including day-to-day operations, the hiring and management of staff, the
coordination and implementation of the fundraising operations and ongoing
coordination with the candidate and consultants. They will also be responsible
for managing the campaign budget. The campaign manager must have excellent
organizational skills, be level-headed, have good interpersonal skills- and
can’t be afraid of making big asks of people.
This is an open primary to replace Congresswoman Nita Lowey. There
will be 8-12 candidates in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Hiring and managing
additional staff
- Coordination and
implementation of consultant operations
- Maximizing candidate’s
time so that they can effectively engage supporters, talk with donors, and
build relationships with endorsing organizations
- Manage all other campaign
team leads, including field, digital, and communications
- Manage petition process
for Democratic and minor party lines
- Other tasks as designated by
candidate or Senior Advisor
Required qualifications:
- 2-3 cycles of political
campaign experience
- 1 year experience managing
staff
- Very well organized;
excellent written, verbal and presentation
- Communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to
collaborate with colleagues and outside organizations and be able to
multitask without sacrificing quality of work
- Ability to work under
pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to foster a
cooperative, team-oriented work environment
- Proficient skills in voter
management software such as NGP VAN and Votebuilder
- Drivers license and access
to a car
Location: New York’s 17th District - Rockland County and parts of Westchester
