The One Campaign For Michigan is seeking Field Organizers (FOs) to join the organizing team in Michigan in 2020. One Campaign for Michigan is the Michigan Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign for the 2020 general election. We are looking for passionate, hardworking individuals who are committed to building the grassroots turnout operation needed to win elections up and down the ballot for Democrats in November 2020. FOs will be responsible for implementing an aggressive field plan and managing the GOTV operation within an assigned turf in the state. Field Organizers will report to Regional Field Directors and be based throughout Michigan.

 

Responsibilities

  • Implementing all aspects of the field program in assigned turf 

  • Recruiting, training and managing volunteers and interns

  • Coordinating and participating in direct voter contact programs to mobilize voters

  • Building and managing volunteer canvasses and phone banks 

  • Meeting weekly voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals 

  • Build and maintain political relationships with local leaders in your region


Qualifications 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively and clearly communicate with different types of volunteers and local leaders

  • Strong time management and organizational skills 

  • Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends

  • Experience volunteering or working for campaigns is a plus but not required.

  • Must have access to a cell phone and vehicle.

  • Women and people of color are strongly encouraged to apply. 


Competitive salary and health benefits are provided. This position is full time through the General Election.
