Background

 

Grassroots Campaigns is a progressive organization that specializes in running face-to-face campaigns for political parties, candidates, and advocacy groups. Through running field campaigns for candidates and other political organizations we can mobilize citizens to be more actively engaged and involved in politics.

 

Since 2003, Grassroots Campaigns has worked with many of the most progressive organizations and political candidates to date.  Our campaigns have been on the front line of a variety of social change movements and historic elections.  Our goal is to grow the progressive movement through face-to-face outreach.

 

The Data Flow administrator receives and processes data from our campaign operations around the country every day, generating reports for our national leadership and client groups that help improve performance and hit campaign goals.

 

Sample Job Duties:

  • Data Collection: The Data Flow Administrator collects, audits, and compiles data from campaign offices around the country on a daily basis, working directly with campaign directors to ensure data accuracy.
  • Reporting: Assembling, maintaining, and distributing performance reports for national leadership and clients on a daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis. These reports are integral in the ongoing management of campaign performance and results.
  • Data Reconciliation: Working with campaign staff and other central departments, the Data Flow Administrator bottom-lines the quality of data and helps ensure the accuracy of payroll operations.
  • Administrative Backup: Help the National Administrator with other projects as needed.

 

Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with exemplary attention to detail, who display conscientiousness and critical thinking, as well as the ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and workload. Candidates should be motivated to work for change on progressive issues and work in a fast moving, issue-driven environment. Strong writing and verbal communication skills are important, as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others to solve problems in a constructive and positive manner. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, and Excel are a must.

 

Expectations:

Campaign hours can run 70-80 hours, 6-7 days per week, including some evenings.

 

Salary/Benefits:

Entry level salary is $24,000 per year. A competitive benefits package includes health care coverage, educational loan assistance, paid vacation and sick days. Opportunities for advancement, travel, and additional training are available.

 

Timing and Location:

The position is located at our national headquarters in Boston, MA. We are looking for candidates to start immediately.
