Overall Description
Idahoans for Healthcare is a coalition of healthcare providers, business leaders, community organizations and grassroots activists committed to fixing our state's healthcare coverage gap by expanding Medicaid to cover persons under the age of 65 whose incomes are at or below 138% of the federal poverty line.

 

The Statewide Field Director will be responsible for the statewide field voter contact program in Idaho, including directing and developing field organizers, coordinating the work and responsibilities of volunteers, developing data-driven strategies to maximize voter contact, and ensuring that the campaign accrues quality, reliable data about prospective voters.


Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

·        Managing, training and mentoring Field Organizers and high-level volunteer leaders.

·        Demonstrating and instilling a culture of message discipline among staff and volunteers.

·        Identifying best practices and successful strategies in the field, identifying problems in the field and controlling for quality of data generated by organizers and paid/volunteer teams.

·        Providing weekly goals for a team of Field Organizers, and holding staff accountable for hitting goals in all metrics, including:

·        Door knocks

·        Phone calls

·        Volunteer recruitment and team building

·        Commit to vote card collection

·        Vote by mail/Permanent Early Voter List Recruitment and follow-up

·        Other metrics as assigned

·        Executing a training program that provides frequent and effective training to field staff, and developing systems and procedures that establish clear lines of communication and effective accountability measures

·        Holding scheduled performance reviews and providing regular feedback to Field Organizer staff

·        Creating scripts and comprehensive training materials for staff and volunteers

·        Performing other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

·        1 or more cycles of campaign or state party field experience

·        At least 1 year management experience, and ability to speak expertly about the characteristics of an effective manager

·        Experience organizing volunteers within a structured organizing model

·        Proficiency with voter file software

·        Strong public speaking skills

·        Strong organizational skills

·        Respect for and experience in collaborating with data professionals and working within data-driven field programs

·        Passion for expanding access to healthcare to those that cannot afford it

·        Willingness to work long and irregular hours

·        Commitment to empowering staff and volunteers at all levels

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Suite

 

Salary
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Position will include a stipend for medical insurance.
