Food & Water Watch: Colorado Field Organizer

Since 2005 Food & Water Watch has advocated for common sense policies that protect the human right to safe food and safe and affordable drinking water. We have utilized original research and grassroots organizing to effectively change both corporate and governmental policies to better protect the public. We have worked to label GMO’s, ban fracking, stop water privatization, break that bottled water habit, stop factory farming, and a host of other issues. To help bolster public participation in our legislative work we are looking to add to our team of field organizers in Colorado.

 

Our field organizers will knock on doors to educate the public on our campaigns and to foster civic engagement and political participation in local, state, and federal legislative campaigns. This is not your typical canvassing job. We are building long term progressive power in Colorado and our field team is an integral part of our strategy. We are looking for exceptional individuals with excellent verbal communication skills, a passion for environmental and social justice issues, and obviously a strong interest in progressive politics.

THIS POSITION IS FULL TIME AND PERMANENT

Hours

2PM-10PM Monday through Friday

Full and part time schedules available

Compensation and Benefits

$425 per week with performance bonus opportunities available
