Field Organizer –  IL-13 Congressional

Emily's list-endorsed | DCCC Red-to-Blue

 

Illinois' 13th congressional district is seeking highly motivated, results and detail-oriented field organizers in support of an Emily's list-endorsed, DCCC Red-to-Blue candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

 

● Recruit, train, and empower interns and volunteers

● Ensure daily, weekly, and month direct voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and leadership development goals

● Plan and coordinate regular volunteer events including but not limited to canvasses and phone banks

● Amplify message and on-the-ground momentum through social media platforms and storytelling

● Engage local Democratic committees, progressive organizations and community leaders

● Represent campaign and staff candidate at events as necessary 

 

Skills & Qualifications:

● Exceptionally well organized and strong time management skills

● Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds

● Flexible, adaptable and solutions-oriented

● Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure

● Comfortable with using technology including SMS, social media platforms, Google Docs and Excel

● Ability to work long and irregular hours in a fast-paced, metrics- driven work environment

● Has access to a vehicle, cell-phone, and laptop, and ability to relocate as necessary

● Dedicated to progressive causes and candidates

● At least 1 cycle of campaign experience (preferred).
