Field Director for DC Area County Executive Race

Job: Montgomery County Executive Race is seeking a dedicated and energetic Field Director to help develop and execute a robust but targeted Field Program for a county of over 1 million residents. Start date of January 1, 2018 and the commitment would be through the primary on June 26th, 2018. Previous field experience on a political campaign is required.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·      Implement an aggressive field program with ambitious door knock goals

·      Ensure that all benchmarks are met or exceeded

·      Recruit, hire, train, and manage field organizers

·      Ensure that volunteers are being properly recruited and retained

·      Create and maintain field metric tracking structures to help analyze and refine the field plan

·      Provide weekly and monthly goals for FOs and ensure that FOs are being held accountable for these goals being met

·      Regular communication with senior staff including the Campaign Manager in order to refine the field plan as the campaign progresses

·      Oversee all canvasses, phone banks, and candidate meet&greets

 

Qualifications:

 

·      Minimum of 1 campaign cycle working within field (preferably within Maryland, although not required)

·      Previous experience managing staff or interns preferred

·      Proficiency with VoteBuilder and Excel

·      Highly motivated and able to motivate volunteers and staff

·      Excellent team-player

·      Ability to work long hours and weekends

·      Must have access to a car
