New Jersey Field Director for Legislative Race

A New Jersey legislative race is looking for a field director to join the campaign as quickly as possible. Candidates for this position should possess strong oral and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and good organizational skills. He or she must also have the ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and balance multiple projects at once. One cycle of previous field experience preferred. Salary is relative to experience. 

 

The Field Director will be responsible for the following activities on the campaign:

Recruiting volunteers to phone bank and walk door to door. 

Setting up and executing volunteer shifts by cutting turf, setting up walk sheets and coordinating shifts with volunteers. 

Assisting the campaign manager with targeting and persuasion scripts and volunteer training. 

Coordinating interns as needed to help implement field program. 

Assisting in event planning and inviting potential donors and volunteers to events. 

Assisting campaign manager with mail program and other campaign aspects that may need more than one staff member.
