A Field Director is needed on a high-profile state Senate primary campaign for an incumbent candidate in an April 26th primary election. Ideal candidate is available immediately.

 

The Field Director will manage a volunteer-driven field program and execute a strategic field plan to maximize support in a primary race.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


 

·      Recruiting, managing, and training leaders and volunteers in the best practices of voter contact.


·      Recruiting and hiring paid canvassers

·      Developing local teams of support at the neighborhood level to increase support and turnout in each assigned area.

·      Preparing canvass and call materials for volunteers.


·      Compiling and reporting weekly metrics to Campaign Manager to ensure progress to goal.

·      Representing campaign and serving as surrogate at local events.

·      Staffing candidate at events.

 

 

Qualifications:


·      VAN/VoteBuilder experience required


·      Ability to connect and form relationships with people from diverse backgrounds


·      Commitment to work seven days a week with long hours until primary election, in fun and fast-paced work environment.


·      Need to have reliable car, cell phone, and personal laptop.


·      Interest in real grassroots organizing and the progressive political process.


·      One cycle of campaign experience required

·      Experience organizing a paid canvass preferred
