Top-tier U.S. Senate race seeks communications staff

COMMUNICATIONS STAFF

A battleground state U.S. Senate race is looking to hire a communications staffer at the press secretary level. This position will interact daily with the press and play a major role in the success of the campaign.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Drafting press releases, op-eds, statements, and other external communication
- Pitching and placing stories with reporters with the state and DC press corps
- Assist with management and writing for social media
- Proactively identify news opportunities
- Develop relationships with reporters.

Key qualifications include:
- The ability to write quickly and clearly, with an eye to attracting press attention
- Willingness to work long hours in a fast-paced environment
- Campaign communications experience preferred

The ability to speak Spanish is a major plus.
