Campaign Organizer for NDFA - April Aldermanic Runoffs

Position Details

This is a temporary full-time position as an independent contractor beginning immediately. The position lasts until April 7th, 2015. Salary is between $1,500 to $2,000 per month commensurate with prior experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Volunteer Organizing -- NDFA is built on volunteerism. The primary duty of this position is to work with NDFA members to ensure that our endorsed and adopted campaigns have the support that they need to win.
  
• Member Recruitment -- Identify and recruit potential new members to join Northside DFA. Spread the word about NDFA at progressive political events, work with dedicated activists to earn their voting member credit, and drive turnout to NDFA activities.

A Successful Applicant Will Be

• Professional -- At least one cycle of previous campaign or community organizing experience is required for this position.
  
• Motivated -- A successful organizer will be self-motivated and able to work independently to accomplish their goals.
  
• Enthusiastic -- A positive attitude and boundless enthusiasm are worth more than all of the experience in the world. Be excited, this is a rare opportunity to build the progressive movement in Chicago!
