Position : Scala Developer

Location : Philadelphia, PA 

Hiring Mode :  Long Term Contract (1+ Years possible extension up to 3 Years)

Visa: ANY (Except OPT and CPT)

How many level of internal interview (TP1/TP2/Both): 2 rounds

Responsibilities:

 

• Comfortable in an agile development and a champion of software development best practices.
• Test Driven Development and Acceptance Test Driven Development, using Cucumber-Jvm and ScalaTest
• Must be able to build REST services from the ground up.
• Technologies: Scala 2.11, Http4s, Play2, Akka, Kafka, ELK, Apache Spark, Amazon Web Service (Lambda, S3, Kinesis, SQS).
• Strong in OOP & Functional paradigm
• Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, engineering, management information systems or combination of education and equivalent working experience.
• Some experience in Scala (Must).
• Strong software design skills and knowledge of design patterns.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and associated tools. (Jira)
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Master’s preferred.
