
The Field Director will be the primary staff member responsible for tracking statewide programmatic priorities. The Field Director will be key link between field leadership staff and Corporate departments, tracking and communicating support or information needs and delivering support field staff in a timely and comprehensive manner. The Field Director will work alongside regional counterparts to shepherd processes: scripts, capacity projections and goals, targeting, literature and materials, quantitative and qualitative reporting, and more.
Develop and implement a comprehensive, data driven field plan
Build and manage a field leadership team to execute said complex field plan
Set, meet and exceed benchmarks for voter contact, volunteer recruitment, grassroots engagement and GOTV
Design and standardize best practices for data management using the campaign’s voter file software
Establish a strong professional culture within the field organization focused on accountability, specific goals, innovation and sense of purpose
Coordinate candidate field organizing with fundraising operations
Manage the field program budget and logistics in collaboration with senior staff
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
Report and escalate to management as needed
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Manage budgets and reporting on fund allocation
Gather feedback and presenting insights
Report on program performance to executive team and directors
Identify opportunities for continual improvement
Develop industry partnerships
Ensure relevant standards, process and regulations are upheld
Communicate all pertinent on-the-ground information to, and providing timely response to requests from, the canvassers under your direction
Ensure that canvass teams properly perform their roles and maintain accurate and reliable data
Support and execute the flow of information via calls, emails, and other modes to, from, and among region staff
Perform other duties and responsibilities as designated by the Executive Director
Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science or related field
A minimum of 5 electoral cycle field experience
