Montco Victory Fund (Montgomery County, PA) is seeking Field Organizers for the 2019 election cycle. 

Overview: Field organizers will primarily be responsible for recruiting volunteers and organizing events.  Experience with voter contact is a plus, but not a must. Applicants should be able to communicate with diverse communities in a variety of settings.

Fundamentally, being an Organizer revolves around having an enormous volume of distinct conversations every single day. Between new conversations with new supporters, regular follow-ups with voters you’ve already spoken with pitches to new supporters to recruit them to volunteer, and heart-to-hearts with existing volunteers to keep them engaged. Organizers can expect to interface with a number of different people on a daily basis.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with voters in their assigned turfs.  

• Recruiting and managing volunteers and volunteer teams.

• Diligently and thoroughly training volunteers and interns in one-on-one and in group settings.  

• Ensuring that daily, weekly and monthly goals are met and exceeded.

• Representing the campaign at events as necessary.

• Creating and maintaining a positive work environment and culture

• Perform other duties as needed and assigned.

• Strong time management and organizational skills.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Creative thinking and “can-do” attitude for problem-solving.

• Interest in and passion for getting to know new people

• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure      

• Willingness to check personal ego at the door to prioritize the overall success of the team.

• Be able to relocate to Montgomery County area for the duration of the 2019 election.

Salary: $3,000 month, commensurate with experience
