Southwestern Gubernatorial race is seeking a Deputy Finance Director

A top-tier southwestern gubernatorial race is seeking a Deputy Finance Director. The Deputy Finance Director will work closely with both the Governor and Lt. Governor candidates, campaign manager, and Finance Director to hit key fundraising goals through the November 2018 election.

 

This is a top pick up opportunity and, as a targeted gubernatorial race, the finance team works closely with the DGA and EMILY’s List as well as other national stakeholders.

 

This position begins immediately. This is a full-time cycle position.  

 

Duties:

 

Assume and execute critical aspects of the strategic finance plan, including events, call time and management of the Finance Committee/Bundler program

 

Manage the Lt. Governor candidate’s fundraising program

 

Staff both candidates at fundraising events and meetings

 

Assist in the management of finance staff, including fundraising consultants

 

Hire and manage finance interns and volunteers

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Knowledge of NGP and Excel

 

At least 5 months of experience as a Deputy Finance Director or Finance Assistant

 

Experience managing political fundraising events and working directly with principals

 

Ability to work evenings and weekends

 

Excellent attention to detail, effective time management skills, and ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines at once

 

Experience working with diverse communities and individuals
