Field Organizer
Hard Knocks Strategies, LLC is seeking motivated and qualified individuals to fill the role of Field organizer. The Field organizer will assist in leading voter mobilization programs in support of progressive candidates and issues in Florida.
Hard Knocks Strategies, LLC is a Statewide Political and Public Affairs consulting firm that specializes in direct voter contact on behalf of progressive candidates and causes.
This Field organizer role consist of traditional electoral organizing tactics such as door knocking, phone banking, peer-to-peer text banking, as well as accountability tactics and digital organizing on behalf of a candidate. Applicants for the position must possess strong organizational, communication and leadership skills as well as the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. All applicants must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. The willingness to work extended hours and weekends is also required. Prior Field Organizer experience is strongly preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers one-on-one and in group settings
- Building and tracking relationships with community leaders
- Building relationships and coordinating with local organizations
- Maintaining the highest regard for data integrity
- Planning campaign events (campaign launch event, town halls, forums, office visits)
- Meet all data and field reporting deadlines
- Recruit and manage a campaign interns/fellows
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous community organizing experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Eagerness to contribute new ideas
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience organizing in South Florida is preferred
