Field Canvassers - ElevatED L.A. (Los Angeles)

ElevatED LA is seeking talented and dedicated Canvassers to support our campaign to create safe and equitable learning and teaching environments in all of LA’s public schools. Canvassers will educate, inform and seek support from individuals and groups for our campaign.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and a results-driven organizer who believes deeply in the importance of building community leadership and power. Canvassers will be responsible for driving a sustained effort to educate individuals and boost public awareness about our campaign.. Their responsibilities will include direct engagement, message articulation, data collection and management, support with turnout for key events, and working within diverse communities to drive change. The ideal candidates will have the flexibility and dexterity to excel when working alone or  in collaboration with co-workers, volunteers, or allies.

Responsibilities (Include but not Limited to) 

• Community Outreach via: 

• Phone Calls

• Door-knocking

• Tabling and direct engagement

• Lit-drops

• Relationship building with individuals and groups within the community

• Data collection and recording

• Previous field or canvassing experience is a plus, and may lead to opportunities for additional leadership positions

 

The position pays $15 to $20/hour and requires availability for a minimum of 4 weeks.
