Role: Campaign Manager for Democratic campaign for Pennsylvania State
House District 143
Description: a progressive champion running for state house in one of
Pennsylvania’s most flippable districts seeks a Campaign Manager to oversee all
political and organizational aspects of the campaign, as well as oversee
communications, fundraising and field operations. District is currently held by a
Republican who is not running for re-election. Candidate won her primary and
has lined up critical endorsements.
Duties:
- ·
1+ cycles of campaign
management experience
- ·
Manage a team, including a
Finance Director and volunteers covering communications, social media,
canvassing and data entry activities
- Oversee all aspects of the
research, drafting and execution of a district-wide campaign plan,
including field, communications and messaging, fundraising and volunteer
recruitment
- Coordinate with vendors,
consultants and team
- Build a broad, effective
grassroots campaign including, but not limited to, coalition building,
extensive volunteer management and voter contact
- Oversee the development of
all paid media production, distribution and broadcast (online ads and
direct mail)
- Manage aggressive free
media campaign, including social media posts, letters to the editor and
editorials/op-eds
- Draft or manage drafting
of public content, press releases, outreach emails and other written
materials.

Manage fiduciary oversight,
legal administration and adherence to campaign finance reporting requirements.
Work will be performed in close collaboration with the Finance Director
- Manage the candidate’s
time and priorities, including staffing the candidate at events during the
day, night and on weekends

Proven commitment to elect
Democrats or experience working on progressive issues
- Ability to work on
multiple projects with tight deadlines; thrives under pressure
- A proven track record in
coalition building, grassroots or field campaign organizing
- Consummate team player;
capable of managing conflict with savvy and maturity, including experience
working with volunteers
- Strong written and
communication skills
- Excellent follow-through
and attention to detail
- Ability to work with
diverse communities, serve as a team leader and maintain a sense of humor
- Expert level understanding
of NGP, Microsoft Office and Google Docs; some
familiarity with other political SaaS such as RevUp, Hustle, BSD, etc.

Willingness to take on other
duties as part of a small team, including flexibility to work evenings and
weekends

Available full-time from late
July through Election Day (November 6, 2018); ties to PA a plus
- ·
Access to a car, laptop and
cell phone. Driver’s license required.
