Central Texas Congressional Campaign Seeks Field Organizers

About the race:

A first time candidate is running in a DCCC-targeted central Texas district that represents one of the nation’s top pick-up opportunities for Democrats. The candidate is a dynamic leader and lifelong organizer who is building a movement for change in central Texas. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Field organizers will be the heart of our efforts to reach voters and develop relationships with local activists and community leaders. Organizers will:

 

1.     Implement the campaign’s field plan with an emphasis on outreach and direct engagement with voters and leaders in the district

2.     Recruit and manage volunteers

3.     Train volunteers to become volunteer leaders

4.     Plan and attend events throughout the district

5.     Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications:

1. Are passionate about flipping Texas blue
2. Are organized and good at hitting deadlines
3. Like talking to random people
4. Think spreadsheets are fun
5. Are good at multitasking
6. Want to learn more about how politics works from the ground up
7. Have the ability to travel within central Texas
