Top-tier, targeted congressional campaign in New York seeks a deputy finance director.

Deputy finance directors will facilitate our fundraising effort, bringing in the resources to get the message out that will take us to victory in the fall!

Fundraising is not glamorous. It’s work. It can be monotonous, it’s rarely fun, but it is the single most important factor in running a successful campaign. If you want a career in politics or campaigns, though, this is exactly where you want to start.

You could have one or more cycles of fundraising experience or none at all. What really matters is your commitment to put in a day and win.

Responsibilities

Operating the fundraising database, i.e. data entry, printing call sheets, etc.,

Managing call time, i.e. sitting with and providing the focus to get a candidate through fundraising calls, 

Producing fundraising communications, i.e. letters, emails, faxes,

Research

Requirements

No experience necessary. We will train you to do things right,

Campaigning hours are long. Expect to make this a significant part of your life,

Basic understanding of the internet, databases, word processing and email,

This job is full-time. Salary is commensurate with experience, education or a mix thereof. This position begins immediately.
