ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Junior Designer is a full-time, entry-level Junior Designer with 0-2 years of experience who is a detail oriented, highly creative person. They will assist the Art Director in designing digital and print graphics, and must be able to originate concepts and juggle multiple projects at a time. They should be knowledgeable in motion graphics and work fluently in the Adobe Creative Suite.

Due to the nature of electoral and issue campaigns the hours can be long and irregular, with significant evening and weekend work during the busier times of the year. 

Position Responsibilities: 

• Design content for digital marketing, social media, and animated banners

• Assist the Art Director in creating direct mail, logos, and posters

• Modify template-based sites with CSS, and create new sites.

• Assist with photo editing

• Other duties as needed

Position Qualifications:

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Have an interest in progressive politics

• Comfortable in AfterEffects

• Fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

• Handle critique and edits

• Be a great multitasker

• Comfortable using Google Apps (Gmail, Google Docs and Drive).

• Very detail oriented

• Have a degree in a digital design or graphic design field


This position is salaried, with a salary range from $45,000-$60,000. Additionally, Red Horse provides a competitive benefits package including medical coverage, matching contributions into a 401(k) retirement plan (upon meeting eligibility), and a flexible and generous vacation policy.
