Description:

The MJ for Texas campaign is seeking a full time Finance Assistant to join the Finance staff. The Finance Assistant will report directly to the Deputy Finance Director and will assist with managing the intern program. They will be instrumental in directing the daily activities of the interns, as well as assisting other finance staff with administrative tasks related to compliance and event planning. The Finance Assistant should be results oriented and a team player, with experience managing interns, and should be capable of meeting high standards on a number of detail-oriented tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the intern program in coordination with the Deputy Finance Director

• Interview, train and onboard new interns to the campaign

• Coordinate with finance staff to produce call sheets, prospect new donors, and delegate research lists

• Ensure quality of intern donor research, phone banking, and other projects

• Recruit and organize in-district fundraising and community events

• Assist the campaign with other tasks as needed

Skills and qualifications:

• Experience managing interns and volunteers

• Experience meeting deadlines and the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously

• Ability to work long, irregular hours in a fast-paced, results-driven work environment

• Ability to work independently and in team settings

• A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to relocate

• Excellent personal, verbal, and written communication skills

• Winning mentality and a sense of humor

Compensation:
