Democratic NYS Assembly campaign in the Queens is hiring part time canvassers with the possibility of full time to engage voters through door knocking, postering, and other visibility events. 

Canvassers will be a key part of securing a victory in the September 13th primary. This is a great way 
to earn extra money and learn more about campaigns. 

We are looking for college students, recent graduates, and others (not necessary however), to door talking to voters and are vital on campaigns as they are representative of the Candidate. 

Canvassing and/or field coordinating has potential to earn a larger position on campaign.

*Candidates should possess:*

- Strong communication and persuasion skills
- An ability to think on his or her feet and learn quickly
- Reliable mode of transportation
- Be comfortable knocking doors and being on your feet 4-8 hours a day
-Articulate a message
-Engage in dialogue about issues, and collect data. 

Applicants must have a cheerful attitude and be able to work nights and weekends. 

Pay:
- $10-12 / hour (neg. w/ experience)

Additional Pluses: 
*Knowledge of NGP/VAN vote builder a plus
*Ability to speak creole
