American Solar Partners (ASP) is a fast-growing solar power company seeking to hire a coordinator for its marketing and social media programp.. ASP is unique in the solar industry for its progressive business mission, including its policy of American-made/union-built solar power systems, its commitment to the ownership, not leasing, of solar power systems by consumers and building owners, and its active involvement in public advocacy on solar power policy and climate change issues.
We are looking for a motivated individual interested in marketing to increase consumer adoption of solar power projects by traditional means and through a social media strategy. The position will report directly to the Company’s Managing Director. Starting salary will be commensurate with relevant experience, ranging from $38,000 to $42,000. There is a six month training program.
Qualities required for this position include: strong verbal and written communication skills; background in public relations/marketing; and, work with issue campaigns and marketing to defined constituencies. Experience required in the most common graphics and presentation software, video production and editing, and customer outreach via email and social media.
