Well established and growing Democratic fundraising firm is seeking an experienced Client Associate to work directly with democratic political candidates and progressive organizations at the federal, state and local levels on all aspects of their fundraising endeavors.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Client Support

Ideal candidate will have strong customer service orientation to build successful relationships with candidates and their representatives. Associate will provide clients with dedicated attention to ensure successful fundraising programs, this includes developing fundraising plans, donor research, donor database maintenance, and other administrative tasks to support fundraising efforts. In addition, Associate will create and manage processes to ensure accountability, including weekly progress reports and expenditure tracking.

Event Assistance

Provide full service event assistance including invitation production and mailing, managing and supporting RSVP process, staffing events, and supporting necessary follow up.

Office Responsibilities

As a core member of the team Associate is also responsible for maintaining a productive work environment. This includes managing filing systems, tracking progress of projects, contributing to the design and implementation of office policies and procedures.

 

Job Qualifications:

      Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience that reflects the ability to perform work at the same level as one who has completed a bachelor’s degree

      At least 1 year of experience working with a political campaign or in a similar field, preferable at the state or federal level

      Knowledge of local, state and federal political systems and campaign fundraising regulations

      Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with strong document editing abilities

      A willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment

      Strong work ethic and dedication to an exemplary work product

      The ability to multi-task, working with a variety of clients simultaneously

      The ability to problem solve and manage client accounts independently with a global perspective and mature judgement

      Strong knowledge of and experience working in database systems, experience working with NGP and a strong knowledge of all of its features preferred

      Strong working knowledge of all software applications within the Microsoft Office Suite, advanced skills in Microsoft Access and Excel preferred

      Ability to thrive in both fast-paced and varied working environments

      Strong self-motivation

      Good humor and political savvy

 

The right candidate is meticulously organized, works quickly and efficiently with great accuracy, enjoys to executing tasks, manages concurrent projects with ease, presents a professional demeanor to candidates and is passionate about American politics and the Democratic agenda.

 

This position has a standard, Monday-Friday 9am to 5:30pm weekly work schedule.  However, this position is required to staff client events outside of the standard weekly schedule on occasion.  On a rare occasion, travel may be required to support clients outside of the Baltimore/D.C. metro area.

 

Must have reliable transportation.  The office is in the Federal Hill neighborhood of Baltimore City, but events may occur throughout the Maryland/D.C. area. 

 

Salary:  $36,000 (does not include medical benefits)

 

Candidates may be asked to complete a short writing and document editing project before being invited for an interview.
