Field Organizer

A Montgomery County, Maryland political campaign is seeking politically concerned and hardworking individuals to join our team in support of a Democratic State Delegate candidate. At our agile grassroots campaign, field organizers will be expected to contribute to all aspects of campaign work. This is a great opportunity for individuals with political interests to gain leadership experience and see first-hand all the moving pieces associated with campaign work.

To succeed in this position, you will have to think on your feet and be comfortable with drastically different work from day to day. Below is a summary of likely duties.

Voter Outreach

• Canvassing/Block-walking— knocking doors within our targeted community

• Uploading all voter data to VAN system

• Managing volunteers

• Preparing training materials for volunteers

• Helping to recruit and train volunteers on how to interact with voters during phone and canvass events

This position will start ASAP and will run through the June 26th, 2018 Democratic Primary. Campaign experience preferred but not required. Reliable transportation and driver’s license required. We offer a competitive salary based on experience.
