Summer Development Internship-The Bonner Group (Washington,DC)

The Bonner Group, Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit and Democratic political fundraising firm, is looking to hire Summer interns to work on a number of client projects. Interns are responsible for performing in-depth research on potential donors, preparing background briefing memos on high-net worth individuals and foundations, and helping orchestrate special events and meetings.

 

This internship is ideal for anyone who would like to gain invaluable experience in national politics and fundraising.  This is a PAID position.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Scheduling: Assist in orchestrating meetings and special events for high-profile principals.  Duties may include making calls, preparing mailings, and drafting correspondence.
• Research: Research potential donors and compile information in a useable format.
• Database: Help maintain and update a donor database, in addition to compiling lists for project use.
• Briefings: Prepare extensive background memos on potential donors and briefings for events.
• Administrative: Other tasks as assigned.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-starter
• Excellent writing and communications skills
• Previous research experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated interest in progressive politics
• Ability to work full-time or part-time for the duration of the fall semester
