What is EMILY’s List?

-      EMILY’s List is a political action committee with over two million members in its community.

-      In the 2011-2012 cycle, EMILY’s List helped elect an historic number of candidates – the only pro-choice Democratic woman governor in the country, 19 new women to the House, six Senate incumbents, and three new Senators.

-      EMILY’s List raised a record-breaking $51.2 million dollars in the 2011-2012 election cycle.

 

Why should I intern at EMILY’s List?

Interns have the opportunity to do substantive work, while gaining in-depth experience in the political sector. 

EMILY’s List offers full- and part-time internships in the following departments:

  - Marketing
- Communications
- Research

- Campaigns

Applicant Requirements:

Because of the crucial role interns play in our organization, we ask that applicants have excellent written and oral communication skills. Good judgment and an ability to maintain confidentiality are also a must.

 

How to Apply:

Applications for fall 2013 will be reviewed on a rolling schedule.  The early deadline for applications is Friday, July 12th.  The regular deadline to apply is August 12th.   All internships are located in Washington, D.C. and are unpaid.
