Finance Assistant - Seth Moulton for Congress

Seth Moulton for Congress is seeking a highly motivated self-starter to join our team as the Finance Assistant. The Finance Assistant will report to the Deputy Finance Director, and primarily be based in the Moulton campaign office in Salem, MA. 

Qualifications: 

• Proven ability to manage many tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines, 
  
• Willing to work flexible hours (including some evenings and weekends); 
  
• Ability to communicate and track financial information clearly; 
  
• Familiarity with donor databases, such as NGP, preferred; 
  
• Familiarity with campaign finance law, or ability to carefully adhere to campaign finance regulations required; 
  
• Service-minded: We are a team of people who believe in the value of service. 
  

Examples of duties include but are not limited to: 

• Assist the Finance Team with call time preparation, including call sheets and follow up; 
  
• Oversee the timely and accurate completion of relevant financial tracking spreadsheets; 
  
• Assist in the preparation of donor thank you notes, and other donor mailings; 
  
• Complete donor research on current and prospective donors; 
  
• Assist in the preparation of and staff fundraising events; 
  
• Work with the Operations Director to ensure proper compliance; 
  
• Provide general support to the finance team; 
  
• Other duties as assigned.

Writing Sample: Please draft correspondence that would be sent from Rep. Moulton to a group of donors who recently attended an event where themes of service and veterans’ issues were discussed. This correspondence should touch on Rep. Moulton’s leadership on these issues, and be appreciative of donors’ time and financial investment to him and his causes.
