Position Opening: Manager of Digital Initiatives

Position Type: Full time

 

The New American Leaders Project (NALP) is leading a movement for inclusive democracy by preparing first and second generation Americans to use their power and potential in public office. Headquartered in New York, NALP is a national, nonprofit organization with programs across the country. We have a strong track record of recruiting and training New Americans of diverse race/ethnic backgrounds to run for public office. We also work with New American elected officials across the country who are at the frontlines of creating transformative policy environments for educational, economic and political equity.

 

We are now seeking a creative individual to help us expand our digital footprint, change the national narrative about immigrants and leadership, and reach new audiences with the benefit of a multiracial democracy for all Americans. This is a new position and will require someone who can work independently to manage all aspects of our digital strategies.

As Manager of Digital Initiatives, you will be responsible for:

·      Leading and implementing a strategy for engaging NALP supporters through digital channels.

·      Maintaining a database for adding, categorizing, and tracking NALP supporters.

·      Identifying best vendors to achieve NALP’s digital goals and handling contracts.

·      Creating, sharing, and promoting digital content for all NALP activities such as report releases, trainings, research, and national and local events.

·      Maintaining and updating NALP’s social media accounts, websites, and digital advocacy tools with relevant content including, but not limited to, news stories, digital content, and advocacy kits.

·      Crafting and implementing ongoing social media campaigns and analyzing outcomes

·      Supervising digital interns.

·      Supporting President and Vice President, as needed.

·      Aiding with research, communications efforts, and event planning around the country, as needed.

 

Do you have:

·      Passion for serving immigrant communities and building a multiracial democracy.

·      Excellent written and oral communication skills.

·      Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

·      Expertise across digital channels.

·      Demonstrated experience working on a successful digital campaign, particularly for a social justice or political cause.

·      Experience using CRM and CMS platforms and understanding of how these platforms can support a broader strategic plan.

·      Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop action plans.

·      Ability to operate as both a practical and strategic thinker.

·      Good social and team skills.
