A countywide race is looking for a full-time Finance Director for a race against an entrenched incumbent by a progressive challenger that has drawn national attention and was recently endorsed by Bernie Sanders.


OVERVIEW OF JOB


This full-time position will play a critical role in the fundraising and overall political operations by working closely with the candidate and senior leadership and consulting team. Job is based in Detroit, Michigan.

This is a senior staff level position.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

Previous experience as a Deputy Finance Director, Finance Assistant, or Call Time Manager is required. Candidates also must have experience with Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, ActBlue.

DUTIES OF POSITION

· Manage the scheduling of fundraising events for the campaign, along with managing and scheduling call time with the candidate.

· Staff call time

· Draft and distribute fundraising materials, including invitations for events

· Staff fundraising events with the Candidate

· Research prospective donors, maintain fundraising and compliance database, update donor history, and track contributions

· Finance Director will be responsible for filing all campaign finance reports in an accurate and timely fashion

· Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

· Previous campaign fundraising experience is required.

· Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and act blue is preferred

· Superb verbal and written communication skills

· Experience in a fast-paced campaign atmosphere with long hours including frequent nights and weekends

· Superb organizational and time management skills

· Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at the same time
