The Ohio Democratic Party is Hiring a Deputy Engagement Director

The Ohio Democratic Party is seeking a Deputy Engagement Director to be a true pro-active catalyst who will support, assist and guide programs throughout the state.

The Deputy will report to Director of Party Engagement with significant collaboration from other staff in the department.

• General department support for trainings, events and meetings

• Regular check-ins with Democratic county chairs, progressive groups, and other key stakeholders in counties across Ohio

• Facilitating conference calls and in-person trainings for chairs, volunteers, elected officials, candidates and others

• Organizing, executing, and staffing events

• Assisting with special projects as they arise

• Frequent travel throughout the state

• Ability to project manage and keep multiple projects moving forward at once

The ideal candidate will:

●      Be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and creatively problem-solve

●      Be a self - starter who thinks on their feet

●      Have strong oral and written communication skills

●      Have strong interpersonal skills and be a team player

●      Have a strong commitment to Democratic ideals

●      Prior campaign experience a plus, in particular experience working with volunteers and/or on events
