Florida State Senate Campaign Manager

A top tier State Senate race located in Miami, Florida is seeking a detail-oriented, professional, experienced campaign manager. With State Senate redistricting complete, Florida Democrats will be running the largest operation in Florida’s history. National attention is now focused on Florida’s State Senate with the prospect of flipping the Chamber insight.
Applicants must have campaign management and budget management experience, the ability to relocate to Miami immediately, a bachelor’s degree, proficiency in NGP/VAN, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, the ability to pass a background check, and a willingness to work long, irregular hours and holidays. Outside employment is prohibited.
Key Responsibilities
§ The campaign manager will manage the rest of the team.
§ Oversee all aspects of the research, drafting and implementation of a campaign plan.
§ Build broad, effective grassroots campaign including, but not limited to, coalition building.
§ Oversee the development of all paid media production, distribution and broadcast (TV, radio, and direct mail).
§ Manage an aggressive earned media campaign.
§ Manage all aspects of fiduciary oversight, legal administration and adherence to campaign finance reporting requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements:
§ Must have a proven track record in coalition building, grass roots or field campaign organizing, financial oversight, and public speaking.
§ Must have experience in coordinating media purchase, production, and media relations.
§ Must have demonstrated fundraising experience and knowledge of campaign funding sources.
§ Communication experience is preferred, specifically running successful earned media events.
§ English and Spanish strongly preferred.
§ At least two cycles of experience in a management position preferred.
§ Must have demonstrated ability to work with diverse communities, serve as a team leader, and maintain a sense of humor.
