The Texas Democratic Party is hiring a Training and Program Manager. The Training and Program Manager will be responsible for creating a skills-focused training program and curriculum, as well as building volunteer and party infrastructure. With thousands of people looking to get activated this year, we are looking for someone that can help create a program that can plug-in and train up people of all skill levels, whether they are near or far from Austin.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills.
  
• Experience in building training curriculum and building volunteer infrastructure programs
  
• Experience running large trainings and speaking in front of large audiences
  
• Experience in political campaigns
  

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with county parties, Democratic clubs, and other progressive affiliates to develop volunteer management plans with hard and soft field goals such as voter registration, volunteer development, and blockwalk and phonebank metrics.
  
• Develop training curriculum
  
• Plan, organize, and run large trainings
  
• Plan and host regular webinars
  
• Plan, write and record short training videos on a variety of skills that activists and candidates need
  
• Develop and implement a system of tracking in VAN who receives training and who has reached a level of competence
  
• Provide direct volunteer support in areas without volunteer infrastructure
  
• Manage relationships with allies & party infrastructure in counties across Texas
  
• Provide analysis on performance and implement plans to maximize results
  

Location: This job is based in Austin and will require considerable travel.
