Seeking Campaign Manager for a Democratic primary race in Oregon. This is an exciting grassroots effort and will be a high profile race with a bold progressive vision.
Compensation 5,000 - 5,800/month, contract (60-70k annual equiv). Small relocation stipend possible for right candidate. Start date 9/1.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of the implementation of a congressional campaign plan and work in alignment with the strategy identified and in sync with the values of the candidate and the community.

  • Define roles and negotiate contracts with all vendors, consultants, and staff including general, fundraising, field, digital, and communications.
  • Hire and manage campaign staff including but not limited to: Field Director, Operations, Organizers, and Social Media Coordinator.
  • Lead the fundraising team in identifying and soliciting funds for a significant grassroots fundraising campaign.
  • Build a broad, effective grassroots campaign that inspires and activates community members.
    Support Field Director to implement a robust voter identification and get-out-the-vote plan.
  • Oversee the development of all paid media production, distribution and broadcast (TV, radio, social, and direct mail).
  • Manage an aggressive earned media campaign in collaboration with external with PR team.
  • Staff the campaign committee and coordinate stakeholders to ensure that grassroots leaders are up to date and are taking strategic action to advance our campaign.
  • Manage all aspects of fiduciary oversight, legal administration and adherence to campaign finance reporting requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bring 4-6+  years of political organizing/campaign management experience, including experience with campaigns where volunteer-executed voter identification played a central role in the campaign.

  • Proven track record in coalition building, grassroots or field campaign organizing, financial oversight, and public speaking.
  • Experience coordinating media purchase, production, and media relations.
    Fluency in digital applications and multi-platform strategies to raise money, mobilize volunteers, and turn out voters. 
  • Demonstrated fundraising experience and knowledge of campaign funding practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse communities, serve as a team leader, and maintain a sense of humor.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends through May 20, 2020, and beyond.
