Campaign Manager – State Senate Race in Massachusetts

Overview

A progressive democratic candidate is running in an open primary and is seeking a qualified campaign manager to run the day-to-day operations of the campaign.  The manager should have previous organizing/managing experience, along with a diverse skill set to allow for participation in all assets of the organization (field, finance and communications). The manager will work with the candidate and consulting team to develop a strategic plan for victory, and will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and execution.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:

-       Development the campaign’s strategic plan for victory

-       Day-to-day management of field staff and volunteers

-       Oversight the campaign’s finance department and a robust fundraising apparatus

-       Development and management of the campaign’s budget

-       Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for the candidate

-       Engage stakeholders, elected officials, and opinion-makers on behalf of the campaign

-       Managing relationships with the press and non-traditional media

Qualifications 

Preferred qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to:

-       At least 2 cycles of campaigns or relevant grassroots organizing experience

-       Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

-       Detail oriented with a strong work ethic and the ability thrive in a pressure-filled environment

-       Working knowledge of traditional and social media, with an emphasis on online grassroots organizing and fundraising

-       Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel; experience with Vote Builder & NGP a requirement.
