Public Wise is a 501c4 formed at the end of 2019 with the mission to create a government that reflects the will of the people.

We believe this is best achieved through expanded democracy access. In 2020 we distributed $3+ million to over 30 partner organizations and conducted research focused on voters across multiple battleground states.

We are looking to hire a Digital Content Manager to help us create content and manage the day-to-day of our social media accounts. They will help design and implement social media strategy aligned with our goals and efforts to amplify partners. This role reports to the Communications Director.

Scope of Work

• Own strategy and day-to-day management of social media outlets with a focus on growth, audience analysis, and messaging.
• Stay abreast of breaking news such that social channels are vibrant and relevant.
• Monitor partner communications on social media and email to drive engagements with partners.

Requirements

• Fluent in the use of major social media platforms, their optimal requirements for content, and current digital media trends.
• Proven experience crafting and managing social postings and replies across multiple platforms.
• A demonstrated ability to learn on the job and a desire to deepen their digital organizing skills.
• Supported digital organizing efforts during the 2020 election cycle. (Volunteer, staff, etc.)
• Experience with design programs like Photoshop or Canva.
• Familiarity with intersectional political and cultural issues.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.

Salary & Benefits

The salary for this role is $50,000 to $55,000. This full time position is completely remote. Benefits include health care, vision, dental, and 401k. Candidates across the country are encouraged to apply.

Public Wise offers a stipend for home office setup. Staff is offered 20 PTO days per calendar year and a student loan repayment benefit.
