Congressional Internship

[IL05 Internship]

Congressman Mike Quigley (D-IL) is seeking an unpaid intern for his Washington, DC office for the Spring semester. Preference will be given to those who can work full-time and can start immediately.  Interns will gain experience in nearly every aspect of a Congressional office. Responsibilities will include a variety of administrative, press, and legislative duties.  Duties will include press clips, answering telephones, greeting visitors, assisting with the correspondence program, leading Capitol tours, attending legislative briefings, and assisting the legislative staff with research and special projects. 

Individuals with Chicago ties are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates should possess strong organizational and communication (written and oral) skills.  Previous IQ experience also useful.
