Vice President, Political
End Citizens United’s Mission: To fix our democracy by getting big money out of politics and protecting the right to vote. We will work to end our rigged political system by electing reform champions, passing meaningful legislative reforms, and elevating these issues in the national conversation. We will work in partnership with these champions to overturn Citizens United, end the unlimited and undisclosed money in politics, and protect and expand the right to vote.
Reports to: President & Executive Director
Job Summary: The Vice President for Political Operations oversees a team of fifteen and three departments. The VP is tasked with creating, leading, and implementing ECU’s 2020 political strategy. They will join a collaborative work environment and partner with ECU’s President, VP for Communications, and VP for Action Fund to build political capital for reform efforts including getting big money out of politics and protecting voting rights

Qualifications
The VP for Political Operations must be a self-starter with at least 10 years of political and campaign experience. Fundraising, state and federal campaign and political experience is desired. VP for Political Operations should have a strong interest in stopping big money in politics and helping elect democracy reform champions to Congress, possess excellent communication skills, good attention to detail, the ability to think on one’s feet. VP for Political Operations must be willing to travel extensively and committed to the diversity of our candidates, membership, partners, and staff.
