Democratic Campaign in Southeast Michigan seeks a Finance Assistant
OVERVIEW OF JOB
A top-tier Democratic campaign in an open seat Congressional race located in Southeast Michigan seeks a qualified individual to fill a Finance Assistant position. This position will work closely with the campaign manager, and Finance Director.
Qualified applicants will have strong computer skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and be familiar with political fundraising. Strong applicants will have at least one cycle of staff level experience working for a Democratic candidate, State Party, or allied organization in a fundraising capacity.
DUTIES OF POSITION
· Manage candidate call time.
· Draft and distribute fundraising materials, including invitations for events and updates to Finance Committee.
· Staff fundraising events with the candidate and prepare necessary materials.
· Research prospective donors.
· Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
· Previous campaign fundraising experience.
· Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and NGP preferred.
· Superb verbal and written communication skills.
· Experience in a fast-paced campaign atmosphere.
· Terrific organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to manage several tasks/projects at the same time.
· Ability to work long (campaign) hours, including nights and weekends.
