Job Description
A populist progressive Democratic candidate in a competitive US Senate primary is seeking a skilled campaign manager to run a state level campaign. The campaign manager will oversee all aspects of the campaign, including day-to-day operations, the hiring and management of staff, the coordination of fundraising operations, managing the campaign budget, political outreach, and implementing a state-wide field program.
Responsibilities
· Manage the campaign team’s execution of strategy and goals
· Mobilize members and volunteers from local organizations and build coalitions with elected officials and stakeholders to support the campaign’s message and goals
- Implement a fundraising plan and manage fundraising goals (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) and targets.
· Conduct weekly meetings with key campaign stakeholders to report out on benchmarks and strategy
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Minimum 3-5 years of political campaign experience
· Staff management experience
· Experience managing finance campaigns
· Proven ability to multi-task and meet competing deadlines/needs
· Experience working with a diverse group of individuals, from elected officials and community leaders to nonprofit organization staff and volunteers
· Self-motivated
· Great interpersonal skills
· Familiarity with VAN voter database and NGP
· Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; successful at motivating staff to meet fundraising, recruitment and voter contact goals
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Ability to think strategically and exercise a high level of judgement
· Ability to work long and irregular hours, including weekends, evenings, and some holidays
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
